Sirius XM (SIRI) this morning said it intends to sell $550 million of senior notes due 2015 to qualified institutional investors. Proceeds will be used to redeem all of the company’s 9.625% senior notes due 2013, and for general corporate purposes.

SIRI today is up a penny, at 92 cents.
