Partying With Hanson At Bardot’s LA BOUM

Go HERE for more photos from LA BOUM at Bardot and tag yourself and your friends!

Wednesday night, Bardot's weekly LA BOUM party had a very special guest performance by HANSON. Yes, that Hanson! They are so hot right now, didn't you know? The night was an epic rager and the band of brothers had the crowd of scenesters, indies and trendwhores dancing and singing along like giddy, carefree 12-year-old girls.

Little Zac all growed up!

They brought the house down with old classics like “Where's The Love,” “Weird” and of course “Mmmbop” as well as some new stuff, and proved they still have it and can electrify an audience just like when they were little weenagers with long blond hair.

Someone kept her Hanson fan club membership card from 10+ years ago. That's OG status.

Sure, for a while most of partiers probably denied ever liking the band or owning Middle Of Nowhere, but you know they all made their mom's take them to buy the album so they could go home and play it incessantly on their discmans. Not anymore; this crowd proudly acknowledged their excitement and fully embraced the blast from the past after LA BOUM's host, Ana Calderon, introduced them on stage.

After the performance the party continued as everyone hit the dancefloor for a rage-a-thon to Michael Jackson's “PYT” and The Beatles' “Obladi Oblada” courtesy of DJ Myles Hendrik.

The self-proclaimed “coolest magician on earth” Rudy Coby wrapped up a week long residency at Hollywood's most famous members-only magic venue, The Magic Castle. His week-long stint, “Magic vs. Science,” ran from April 26-May 2 and consisted of performances and installations with a mad scientist experiment theme. The show included human-machine hybrids of science fiction, a teeny tiny Michael Jackson, a guy who covered himself in shaving cream.

Between the haunted-looking venue and the bizarre theme, Rudy's show didn't seem like it could be kookier, until special guest (and former roommate!) Marilyn Manson hopped up on stage as to help the magician with his tricks. Thanks to Curious Josh, we can see the strangeness unfold…

Roubini Worried by ‘Runaway Fiscal Deficits’ (CNBC)
Exit policies [from stimulus strategies] pose a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” dilemma, as withdrawing stimulus too soon could push economies back into recession, while leaving it too long would push already high fiscal deficits even higher, Roubini, who predicted the 2007 financial crisis, explained.

Really: “He says he can’t predict the future. Don’t believe him: Even if he’s unaware of his ’source,’ it’s stirring again, rising from deep in what Carl Jung would call the ‘collective unconscious’ of the ‘American Soul,’ warning us again of a collapse, using Stone as a stock trader’s ‘alert.’”
