Tesla Motors (TSLA) late Wednesday said it has sold a $30 million stake to Panasonic (PC) in a private placement priced at $21.15 a share.
The electric car company noted that Panasonic is the world’s leading battery cell manufacturer; Tesla uses Panasonic cells in its battery packs.

American Superconductor (AMSC) this morning said it has received “the world’s largest order for higher temperature superconductor wire” from Korean-based LS Cable, which it says is the world’s third-largest cable manufacturer.
